Frequently asked questions
Do my images get uploaded anywhere?+
No — rotation happens entirely in your browser using the canvas and image-decoding APIs already built into it. Your image is never sent to a server.
Can I rotate by any angle?+
Rotation is in 90° steps (left or right, any number of times) rather than an arbitrary angle — this covers the common case of fixing a sideways or upside-down photo without the added complexity (and quality loss) of an angled rotation.
Does rotating change the image dimensions?+
A 90° or 270° rotation swaps width and height (landscape becomes portrait, or vice versa). A 180° rotation keeps the same dimensions, just upside down.
Can I change the format while rotating?+
