PDF Splitter
Split one PDF into several smaller PDFs — every page as its own file, or custom page ranges you define — directly in your browser.
Drop your PDF file here or choose files. Accepts PDF files — add as many as you need.
You can also paste a copied PDF file with Ctrl+V / Cmd+V.
Your PDFs are processed directly in your browser — they are never uploaded to a server.
How do you want to split it?
Separate each output file's range with a comma. Each range becomes one output PDF, in the order you list them.

About PDF Splitter
Split one PDF into several smaller PDFs, directly in your browser — either every page as its own file, or custom page ranges you define (like pages 1–3 as one file and 4–7 as another). Nothing is uploaded to a server.
Looking to pull out a few specific, non-consecutive pages into one file instead of splitting into ranges? That's a slightly different tool — a Page Extractor is on the roadmap for exactly that.
Frequently asked questions
Do my PDFs get uploaded anywhere?+
No — splitting happens entirely in your browser. Your PDF file and its contents are never sent to a server.
What page range formats are supported?+
A comma-separated list of single pages or contiguous ranges, like "1-3, 4-7, 8". Each comma-separated entry becomes one output file, in the order you list them. Overlapping ranges are allowed.
Can I pull out a few non-consecutive pages into one file?+
Not with this tool — each output here is a single page or a contiguous range. Combining several separate pages into one new PDF is what a Page Extractor tool is for, which is planned for this PDF Tools family.
Does this work with password-protected PDFs?+
No — an encrypted or password-protected PDF is detected and flagged rather than silently failing or attempting to bypass the password.
Is this tool free?+
Yes, completely free with no sign-up.
